Preparing for the Future
Placing technology in the heart of our operation
In a sector that’s constantly changing, embracing technology isn’t optional - it’s essential.
From national pharmacy reforms to the growing role of automation in dispensing, the need for smarter systems and connected processes has never been greater. Whether you’re running a local independent or supporting national healthcare networks, technology is the quiet engine that powers reliability, speed, and service.
"I've seen this sector evolve at a rapid pace; what once felt like future thinking is now business-critical. It’s not enough to simply keep up. Staying ahead means using technology not as a bolt-on, but as a core enabler of customer value, operational resilience, and long-term sustainability."

Rod Muir
Managing DirectorAt EMT Healthcare, we’ve spent over 60 years evolving with the pharmacy sector. We know that staying relevant doesn’t just mean adding new products—it means improving how we work, how we serve, and how we support our customers behind the scenes.
That’s why we’re excited to introduce Nick Pullen, who joins EMT as our new Head of Technology.
Nick brings nearly two decades of experience helping large, complex organisations use technology to work smarter, streamline operations, and deliver better outcomes. His background spans from automation and system integration to supply chain visibility and continuous improvement; skills that align perfectly with the direction of the company.
So why does this matter?
Costs are rising. Expectations are growing. And our customers rightly demand high standards: Speed, consistency, and great service.
To meet those expectations, we need technology that works with people, not against them. That means:
- Reducing delays and errors through better system connectivity
- Making warehouse processes smarter and more efficient
- Using data to support faster decision-making
- Creating seamless experiences from order to delivery
This isn’t about replacing people. It’s about helping our team focus on what they do best, with the tools to do it faster, better, and more easily.
Nick’s role will be pivotal in driving this vision forward, modernising how we operate, delivering meaningful improvements across the supply chain, and ensuring that EMT stays ready for what’s next in pharmacy and healthcare.
"I am thrilled to step into the role of Head of Technology at EMT Healthcare, where my focus is on creating smarter, faster, and more reliable processes that directly improve the customer experience. Drawing on nearly 20 years of driving operational improvements through technology, I’m ready to deliver innovations in our warehouse and systems that make a real difference."
